The Staffordshire Bull Terrier originates from England. These dogs require plenty of opportunities to fetch things, play with a ball, and run around. They are a brave and obedient breed, which exhibit a fondness and overt lovingness with children. These Terriers are well known for their intelligence, tremendous stamina, and sheer tenacity. The breed gets along fine with children and rough play does not faze it in the least. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier also gets along well with other dogs and household pets, as long as socialization has taken place at an early age. These dogs are very fast learners, although it is still necessary to be consistent thoroughout its training.

Staffordshire Bull Terriers have an average shoulder height of fourteen inches to sixteen inches (35 - 41 cm}, and weigh in at an average of twenty four to thirty eight pounds (11 - 17 kg). Their coat is short and smooth, with colors ranging anywhere from white or white with brindle or red patches, to fawn, red, any shade of brindle from tiger brindle through to black brindle, or blue. It is essential that you use a rubber brush periodically to remove dead any hairs.
